Summary

This module describes the advantages of clear, visual work instructions for medication safety. The module includes a simple activity that illustrates how visual work instructions and procedures save time and thus have higher rates of compliance.  

Visual, standardized work is one of the basic elements of a Quality Improvement system in healthcare, industry, hospitality, and in many other sectors, and is one of the Quality Improvement modules offered by ISMP Canada.
