The Driving Medication Safety in Community Pharmacies Through Continuous Quality Improvement session is an innovative 60-minute webinar that will support you in creating a culture of continuous quality improvement (CQI) and share tools to empower staff to make improvements in their everyday processes.
Abstract
ISMP Canada is pleased to partner with The Value Collaborative to leverage the learning from the successful Strengthening Medication Safety in Long Term Care Ontario program and provide this new program. CQI education, coaching, and facilitation played a key role in helping long-term care homes to achieve significant improvements in medication safety.
Local examples include the following:
- 58% reduction in the inappropriate use of antipsychotics
- 73% improvement in the E-box inventory accuracy
- 96% reduction in late insulin administration
