This is the first in a series of short, interactive, online modules designed to introduce the basic concepts of Quality Improvement. Quality Improvement entails a structured problem-solving approach that has been successfully applied in many healthcare environments, including in long-term care. This approach entails problem and goal definition, analysis, implementation, and evaluation. The Quality Improvement Method is a template for continuous improvement in outcomes like satisfaction, safety, and financial sustainability. This module enables learners to learn the basics of Quality Improvement by solving a fictitious traffic safety problem and then translating that to Medication Safety.
